The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has declared that Alison Enticknap will take on the position of the new Director of Strategy and Transformation.
Enticknap will be in charge of coordinating the BHA’s industry strategy and collaborating with other professionals in the field.
Enticknap’s new position will be part of the BHA’s newly established Strategy and Transformation division, which is currently being formed.
The division will oversee the execution of cross-industry projects and initiatives, as well as capacity development.
Enticknap has served as the interim Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs at the BHA since 2021, having joined the organization in 2018.
“I view this role as a remarkable opportunity to work together to tackle the most significant challenges facing the racing industry and seize crucial opportunities,” Enticknap stated. “If we can collaborate as an industry and achieve success, the benefits will be substantial.
“I am eager to work with the racing industry, utilizing its vast knowledge and expertise, to help us attain our shared objectives – a flourishing and sustainable sport.”
Before joining the BHA, Enticknap held communications and public affairs positions at companies such as T-Mobile, Virgin Atlantic, and Powergen.
Establishing a fresh strategy and change division is crucial for our movement’s agreed-upon roadmap for a new industry strategy,” stated Joe SomarĂ©-Smith, who assumed the BHA chairmanship following Anne-Marie Phillips’ departure in March.
“I’m delighted we’ve selected Alison to head this division. Her demonstrated leadership abilities and capacity to foster connections and propel transformation will be essential to the success of this endeavor.”
