The Australian media regulator, known as ACMA, is taking strong action against unlawful wagering platforms that focus on Australian users. They recently directed internet service providers to restrict access to 18 websites after receiving multiple reports and verifying that these platforms were functioning in breach of Australian regulations.
Among the prohibited websites are Syndicate Casino, iLucki, and King Billy Casino. The ACMA strongly advises anyone utilizing these platforms to retrieve their funds promptly.
This represents the most recent step taken by the ACMA to combat illicit online betting. Since 2019, they have blocked access to 222 gambling websites and approximate that over 100 unlawful operators have exited the Australian market since 2017.
The ACMA aims to increase awareness about the risks associated with illegal gambling and safeguard Australians from exploitative operators by blocking these websites.
