This newest purchase from Enchantment Holdings, a subsidiary of Laguna Development Corporation, grants Churchill Downs control of yet another historic racing venue. They are already envisioning major developments, including enhancements to Ellis Park’s existing facilities and the construction of a new track extension and entertainment complex in Owensboro. This new establishment, situated within the Towne Square Mall, will boast 600 historical racing machines and a dedicated wagering area.
Churchill Downs CEO Bill Carstanjen expresses enthusiasm for the future, stating that they are eager to unveil more details about their plans for both Ellis Park and the Owensboro endeavor in the near future. It appears that Kentucky horse racing is poised to become even more captivating!
