1X2 Network has teamed up with Skywind Group to introduce its gaming portfolio to Romanian players. This collaboration will see 1X2 Network’s well-loved games, such as Plinko Go, Smoking Hot Fruits, and Maverick, featured on Skywind’s Romanian platforms, including princesscasino.ro, cashpot.ro, and luck.com.ro.
This alliance reflects a broader movement of gaming entities venturing into the Romanian market. Thunderkick, as an illustration, recently joined forces with Skywind to bolster its footprint in Romania, a market that Thunderkick’s Head of Sales Fredrik Ekholm deemed “significant.” Octoplay and BGaming have also inked agreements in past months with Superbet and WinBet, correspondingly. Further emphasizing Romania’s expansion, Imagine Live just declared its plans to establish a new live casino studio in Bucharest. The upcoming February issue of Trafficology magazine will delve deeper into this captivating development.
Ana-Maria Baciu, a legal expert specializing in intellectual property and a participant in the Romanian National Chamber of Patent Attorneys, clarified that “Regulatory bodies in Romania have distributed roughly 475 Class 2 permits for vendors in the gaming sector since 2016… Of these, approximately 140 to 150 permits have been bestowed upon software/game developers, with around 25 given out in 2023 alone.”
She observed that the market persists in being robust and flourishing, even with alterations to licensing charges that were implemented in October 2023.
Commenting on the collaboration, Christopher Reed, an Account Executive at 1X2 Network, stated: “This alliance with Skywind Group unlocks access to some of Romania’s most favored online platforms. The operator has teamed up with several of the industry’s exceptional creators and can now boastfully incorporate 1X2 Network’s collection of inventive slot machines and games into its portfolio.
“Romania has constituted a significant market for us since obtaining authorization there in 2022, and this arrangement with Skywind Group will enable us to broaden our footprint within the nation.”
