The province of Saskatchewan is gaining a new digital gaming hub, and it’s arriving courtesy of a well-known entity in the field.
BCLC, the gaming authority for British Columbia, has been selected to introduce its PlayNow system to Saskatchewan. This collaboration with the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) comes after a rigorous selection process where SIGA meticulously evaluated numerous submissions.
PlayNow enjoys existing popularity in British Columbia and Manitoba, recognized for providing a secure and controlled online gaming environment. Saskatchewan users can anticipate a version of the system customized to their tastes, featuring games frequently found in the province’s gaming establishments. Naturally, the ability to wager on individual sporting events will also be included.
The formal unveiling is projected later this year, with SIGA overseeing the platform’s activities in Saskatchewan through a pact with SaskGaming. This development marks a substantial stride for internet-based gaming in the province, facilitated by an accord reached between the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) and the Saskatchewan government in the preceding year.
Zane Hansen, holding the positions of President and CEO at SIGA, conveyed enthusiasm about delivering the PlayNow experience to Saskatchewan. He emphasized how it enhances their current casino operations and broadens entertainment choices for patrons.
BCLCs Interim President and CEO, Lynda Cavanaugh, expressed excitement about introducing the PlayNow.com platform to Saskatchewan, stating that players can anticipate a premium online gaming encounter.
PlayNow.com prioritizes responsible gaming and offers a secure and protected setting. They are distinctive in North America and among a select group globally that employs specialized player well-being experts.”
